Some shippers are so engrossed in their daily tasks that they are unable to visit the Authority's offices to report on pertinent problems bogging their businesses. The Authority has therefore devised these programmes, which are vigorously pursued with the view to eliciting information related to their business transactions and providing them with the requisite advise and solutions as may be necessary. The Outreach Programmes involve one-to-one visitations as well as visitations to recognized associations/groups of importers and exporters nationwide.

Activities on the International Scene
The Authority is a founding member of the Union of African Shippers' Councils. It continues to play a prominent role in the activities of the maritime Organization for West and Central Africa (MOWCA), United nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Maritime Organization (IMO), the African Union (AU), World Trade Organization (WTO), etc.
